Join the club, Go for your future! - Capacity Building in the field of YOUTH

Social entrepreneurship has been acknowledged as an effective means to the end of creating new jobs, improving the standard of living and encouraging the citizens’ participation in the decision making process at all levels. In order to enhance the social entrepreneurship in our countries, it would be absolutely necessary to supply the young people who dream of becoming social entrepreneurs with appropriate competences, contacts and the will to launch social entrepreneurs commensurate to their own profile & the needs of their milieu. In this context, we are organizing a long-term project to favor the experiences’ exchange and develop the competences of 24 youth workers and instructor designers who stem from 8 countries and 4 continents, so that they can come up with innovative educational methods about the social entrepreneurship and act as multipliers who will help this type of entrepreneurship to spread among the young people in their countries and elsewhere.
Our project consists of the following activities:
1) A 2-day transnational project meeting at Lefkas (Greece)
2) A “job shadowing mobility” which will last 15 days and allow every one of the 16 youth workers including two deaf to observe the implementation of one social entrepreneurship and the related education.3) Preparation of a research work which will detect the needs of the youth of the various partners in terms of training and support opportunities about the social entrepreneurship.
4) A training course of 11 days in Poland, during which we will create a virtual club for young people who are would-be social entrepreneurs
5) An experimentation of the above mentioned virtual club by the young people of the countries.
6) Creating a technical and pedagogical manual for exploiting the above club.
7) A training course of 7 days in Vietnam in order to educate the 24 direct beneficiaries into becoming E-mentors in favour of the young people who benefit from the above mentioned club.
8) Organization of a “carrier-day” by each partner organization, which will disseminate the results of the project in question and make the virtual club more widely known.
9) Implementation and updating of the club through the involvement of the 24 E-mentors & the administrator of the club.
10) A 2-day evaluation meeting will be held at Benin, where a cooperation strategy will be applied for the sake of the virtual club’s sustainability.

Training Course E-learning for EVS+

E-learning has proven to be an efficient and sustainable means of modern supplementary education, able to create an environment of interactive and leaner-friendly learning, which enables the people involved in European voluntary Service to universalize, organize, modify and share knowledge. In this context, we wish to collaborate with 11 partners organizations which are active in volunteering in 11 E.U countries, in launching 4 mobilities which are cross-supplementing in a time span of 10 months, from October 2017 until July 2018. The aim of EVS + is to create On line training which will develop the 8 “key-competences”, soft and hard skills of the volunteers. The 4 mobilities will enable the participants to become efficient future E-mentors ofthe e-esc.eu platform  for the benefit of the volunteers of European solidarity Corps, and assume an energetic & fruitful role in the implementation of our platform.

Empowering youth, through EVS

The European Voluntary Service (EVS) is an opportunity for young people between 18 & 30 to offer a voluntary service all over the world, within one non-profit organisation or institute. In the context of empowering youth for EVS we launched a training course (project) involving 30 youth workers (EVS project managers, mentors, supervisor of volunteers, coordinators of volunteering projects, educators and ex-volunteers) who came from different organizations dealing with the youth from all Europe. In thistraining course we exchanged our experiences and developed our competences about volunteering project management. We also developed common methods with a view to facilitate and improve the quality of the preparation of the volunteer, the quality of his/her carrying out the particular project, including implementation of his/her tasks, the quality of the assistance measures and the self-evaluation of the volunteer. The methods which we elaborated by this training course allowd us both to make easier and more efficient the monitoring/following and the support of the volunteers and to optimize the results of their volunteering projects in the future. Using these methods we created an enhanced advanced On-line version of EVS Log-book which will be diffused and used by a more consistent number of European volunteers with a view to enhance the quality of monitoring & personal exploitation of their own European volunteering service.

SUSTAINABLE ENTREPRENEURSHIP via Origami

Learning about sustainable entrepreneurship via Origami.
International Training Course for youth workers & youth leaders, 31 participants from 16 youth organization from 13 countries, from Europe, Eastern Europe and from Caucasus 11/10/2013-19/10/2013 Lefkas, Greece.

Description
Solidarity Track organized a training course which brought together young leaders and young people's educators coming form 13 European countries, including countries of the Eastern Europe and the region of Caucasus. The seminar was hold in Lefkas island and lasted 10 days, the purpose being for the participants to exchange views, experiences and "good practices" and to develop skills & competences relative to the young people's education in the sustainable development. In the course of the seminar we organized a workshop, during which the participants created some figurines using the "origami" technique. These figurines showed concretely various ideas about linking entrepreneurship and sustainable development. At the end of the seminar the participants organized an exhibition for local citizens where they discussed about their sustainable entrepreneurial ideas.

Parallel to this, the participants created a practical pedagogical tool concerning the education of young people in the sustainable development. This tool helped the participants to put appealing pedagogical activities to practice, enabling thus the development of the entrepreneurial spirit among the young people of their communities. This way we hope to manage both to obtain positive effects and long-term influence in their attitudes and habits and to install into the young people the knowledge of becoming a responsible businessman throughout their life.
