Together, let’s support the engagement and social entrepreneurship of young people NEET in the circular economy sector is a transnational initiative supported by the consortium made up of four partner organizations: ADILES (coordinator), CKB, Solidarity Tracks, H20, all faced with a high unemployment rate among young people aged 18 to 30 and a lack of communication on job creation and professional opportunities offered by the circular economy in their respective contexts.

According to the European Commission (EC European Circular Economy Action Plan of July 20, 2021), the circular economy sector is an important lever for job creation for young people, in particular for those with the fewer opportunities, and represents the hope of reconciling the fight against high unemployment among young NEETs and a relevant response to meet the challenges linked to the ecological transition in European regions.

However, these perspectives remain difficult to realize in the absence of awareness, training and support adapted to the specific needs of target groups (youth workers, young people, local operators, etc.).

To respond to this situation, the “GREEN – Gather Recycling Economic and Employment for Inclusion of NEET’s Young” project offers a conducive educational environment to promote a culture of enterprise, creativity, empowerment and civic responsibility and to encourage exchanges of good practices in job creation , income-generating activities and social entrepreneurship within the circular economy for the benefit of young NEETs. Thus, GREEN offers efficient non-formal learning experiences to increase the employability and support the social entrepreneurship of young NEETs in the circular economy (CE) sector and opens spaces for participation and co-construction of educational and innovative tools, tested and adapted in each partner region taking into account evaluation feedback from the target groups involved.

GREEN is part of the KA2 Innovation action and is co-financed by the Erasmus + Youth & Sport program.
