The idea of Time bank is to build a community network which gives to its
members the opportunity to exchange services with time as the only currency.
Anyone can offer services, activities and knowledge and benefit back from
services according to the needs and interests. our Training Course “Power of Time” is based on this idea and inspired from our own experience and the experience of our partners and youth workers as regards hosting, sending and supervising volunteers. The project is based on a common need : to develop the competences of our young volunteers, including young people with fewer opportunities, to favor their integration in the host community, to develop their self-confidence and to preserve their motivation with a view to enhance the impact of our volunteering project and trigger a dynamic inside our local societies where the volunteers, the citizen and the local young people will be the principal agents.
Power of time project involved 38 participants involved in the field of international youth mobility, such as tutors, supervisors of volunteers,
coordinators of volunteer projects, teachers and ex-volunteers involved with NGO. Furthermore there were involved youth workers supporting the inclusion and youth empowerment, in particular of the most vulnerable (youth with special needs and/or fewer opportunities).
The project official promoter was Da & Da . Thea main aim of the project was to train the participants how to create Time bank in their local communities and open up to a European-wide project.
