Expressing ideas of thought or action can indeed be done in many ways! But if we were to express a socially and humanly important concept, how could we do so? With what actions could we act? What if we tried artistic skills and competences? This project is about social inclusion but also about sustainable development: social inclusion is the condition in which all individuals live in a state of fairness and equal opportunities, regardless of the presence of disability or poverty, aiming at eliminating all forms of discrimination, moving away from the notion of bullying and building inclusive contexts capable of including everyone’s differences, eliminating all forms of barriers; by sustainable development we mean all those good practices that aim at growth and development not only from a social and economic point of view, but also from an environmental point of view by means of eco-sustainable actions. This means learning to live within the limits of a single Planet: in a fair and dignified manner for all, without exploiting – to the point of impoverishing – the natural systems from which we draw resources and without exceeding their capacity to absorb waste and refuse generated by our activities.
In this context we want to organize a youth exchange to bring together 40 young people from 6 European countries, with different backgrounds and abilities for 6 days in Lefkas, Greece, to exchange their approaches and artistic practices around this theme and to create together a common work of art on the theme that combines mural or graphic painting, music, choreography and light mapping.
